My Almost Normal Family

Hey my names Lizzie and in this story I'm going to tell you about My Almost Normal Family.
Theres mum (Lucy) she is always singing and dancing around the kitchen, she embarrasses me when my friends come around always playing her 80s music. Then theres Dad (Paul) who builds his own little city in the basement NO ONE IS EVER ALOUD DOWN THERE! He Is crazy.Then theres my older sister (Penny) she is always out, i sometimes forget what she looks like. Its good I never see her because we don't get along. Then theres me, I'm 12, then of course not forgetting Charlie my younger brother, he is 4.
Anyway I'm kind of worried because there is a new family moving in and mum has invited them around for tea on Saturday I wonder what they are going to think apparently theres a girl about my age that is moving in what if she tells everyone about my family. Friday comes and I'm running out of time to put mum of inviting them. When the bell for school rings I rush home and dump my bag on the stairs, I Even miss my best TV show for this i get a red marker and paint spots all over my face, hopefully mum  will think I'm ill so I will have to miss the dinner. When I hear the door I start coughing. Charlie runs in saying mum said he can watch Thomas the tank Engine, I turned it on for him then coughed again. Mum came in and asked if I had art today because i had pen all over my face. I said yes and tried thinking up another plan. When I went in the kitchen to get a drink and realised it was to late, mum had already started cooking dinner singing along to Blondie. Go get your best clothes on she said. I went and got my Blue Jeans and Hello Kitty long sleeve T-Shirt. Penny wasn't in for the meal but that's no surprise. Charlie wore Jeans And T-Shirt mum said it didn't matter because he was younger. Mum made Potato Salad and Toad In The Hole with peas and broccoli. When dad got home from work there was no time for him to change so he had to eat in his work uniform. As soon as they got here i was more worried than ever, they looked Posh and we were the exact opposite to posh. Anyway the meal started and there was no conversation until the woman asked for my dad to pass over the potato salad, dad fell right into the veg and threw the potato salad onto the man. Mum tried moping it up but spilt water onto the girls meal, Charlie was throwing peas at the woman until they all stood up and left. Now that's my family,  and that's as normal as it gets.
